Prediction, Stanley Cup Finals edition

20 05 2008

Last round must have been a no-brainer, because I nailed it.  But there are few who should be surprised that the dominant Red Wings and the young and talented Penguins are in the finals for hockey’s ultimate prize.

So who wins? Do you go with the experience and skilled defense of the Red Wings, or the youth and talent of the Penguins centers.  My gut says the safe pick is the Red Wings, since they’ve been through this before and have more tools to stop Malkin, Crosby, and company.  I don’t have much confidence in Osgood (still), but I think the Red Wings blueliners will give him the help he needs to drink from the cup once more.
