A quick discussion question…

9 12 2008

Holiday shopping is over, and now it’s off to work for twelve hours.  Whoo boy.

Here’s the question (well, a statement, actually):  Topps should include as an insert (say 1:6) in their Update wax boxes cards from other Topps releases put out that  year to give collectors a sample of other sets and drive up interest in them.

For example, for the ’08 Update box, I’d have gotten a 2008 Heritage card, a 2008 Finest card, etc.  If inserts are a waste anyway, why not give collectors a chance to own some Topps Allen and Ginter and figure out if they want to collect it?   Further debate can be used for inserts from these sets being used as inserts for U & H as well.

Just a thought that popped in my head.  What do you guys think?
