That’s a pretty good deal, isn’t it?

So I’ve been trying to get back to blogging for the last month or so, but once you go inactive, let me tell you it’s pretty hard to get started again.

But I’ve still been reading some things, including this from Dave and Adam’s Card World.  2008 Masterpieces for $38.95?  That’s a pretty good deal, no?  2008 Upper Deck Series 2 for $27.95?  I knew I should have waited on that one.  2008 Timeline for $29.95?  2008 Documentary for $24.95?  That’s almost worthwhile, right?

If I had some spare cash, I’d throw it at those Masterpiece boxes.  I guess this is also a testament to the value of wax boxes at the time they are released and their value a year later.  Remember when people used to buy this stuff and sit on it hoping the price would go up?

That’s all for now.  I did buy a 2009 Goudey blaster and had a write up on it in the works, but I got distracted by another disappointing Reds loss.  I’ll have something up on it soon, though.

Hi there! I found your blog last night while I was watching the Pens/Wings game, and I must say I think I read every post. It brought back a lot of memories of my collecting days.

I am in a collecting hiatus, but I noticed that you had some rather extensive want lists. I have about 200,000 cards that are mostly baseball, but I do have some hockey mixed in. I also have many Topps doubles from 1970 to 1994, so if there is a particular set you are currently working on, I’d be happy to help out (and I’m sure my wife would be glad I helped out, too, as that would mean fewer cards in her house!).

Let me know if I can be of help to you.

Nathaniel
